Michele Mottola at Special Events Consulting says:

“It is obvious that David Tucker loves what he does as his pictures always represent the essence of the person who is on the other end of the camera. He is warm, compassionate and so unbelievably talented.   David always scouts out his locations prior and makes many considerations that include LIGHTING,  background, accessibility, timing and ease for guests being photographed all before the event is in full swing. This pro activeness absolutely contributes to the success of any event.  I know my clients are in great hands when they select David Tucker, it is off my list of things to worry about.”

Mattie and Aaron’s “Wedding Tour”!

Musicians, Mattie & Aaron, made their debut as a married couple vis a vis a “wedding tour”. Rather than a traditional wedding where friends come to you, they decided to travel to multiple locations and perform for family and friends in honor of their love and marriage.  The tour began in New York City’s Steinway Hall and ended at The Old Church in Portland, Oregon. I enjoyed photographing their unique and charming wedding celebration at Adelynrood; a retreat center near and dear to Aaron’s family’s hearts in Byfield, MA. Their performance included works by Schubert and Handel, as well as Aaron’s father, Jim, and four contemporary composers who were each commissioned to write a movement for Mattie & Aaron’s “Wedding Suite”. The four movements were titled as follows:

tell it like a secret (Something Old)        – Scott Ordway
Something New                                          – Christian De Gré
Vor Eternity (Something Borrowed)      – Jessica Meyer
Tango (Something Blue)                           – Anne Farber (arr. Butler/Kaiser)

Enjoy highlights and join us in congratulating this artistic pair!!

Agelab at MIT Corporate photography

Check out David Tucker Photography’s corporate side and get a glimpse into the high tech world of MIT’s Agelab. The Agelab, founded and directed by Joseph F. Coughlin, Ph.D., is doing internationally recognized, cutting edge research on “how demographic change, technology, social trends and consumer behavior drive innovations in business and government”.  Dr. Coughlin is an expert in the field of aging and transportation, the Wall Street Journal recognized Dr Coughlin as one of “12 pioneers inventing the future of retirement…” while Fast Company Magazine named him one of the “100 most Creative People in Business”. The following photos highlight the lab’s work with autonomous and semi-autonomous cars and their relevance to the elderly.
The Agelab at MIT is an extraordinarily creative, “out of the box” lab; a perfect match for David Tucker Photography’s visionary and inventive photographic techniques and sensibilities. A special shout out to Robert Boyd, David’s trusty assistant, who helps make all things possible.

Kaitlynn and Michael’s wedding at the Crane Estate Ipswich MA.

I’m so pleased to share photos from Kaitlynn and Michael’s amazing wedding at the Crane Estate, Castle Hill. This spectacular wedding venue is perched high above Crane’s Beach, overlooking the Atlantic ocean in Ipswich, MA. Kaitlynn and Michael enjoyed the best of both worlds by getting ready at downtown Boston’s hip and chic four star Godfrey Hotel. This contemporary hotel was a fun and luxurious setting for Kaitlynn and her bridesmaids, and Michael and his groomsmen, to enjoy the pre-wedding excitement.

The couple had originally met at a mutual friend’s birthday party and in Kaitlynn’s own words: “I was under the impression we were in for a night of salsa dancing. I dressed appropriately with bangles, a belly shirt with tassels and a red flower in my hair. When I arrived to our friend’s house I came to realize plans had changed! People were arriving in suits and I learned we were headed to a high end night club. Although I was mortified, it was quite the ice breaker. We thank our mutual friend Nicolle for introducing us. She stood by my side as a bridesmaid while I professed my love for Michael.”

Once we arrived on the beautiful grounds of the Crane Estate, Kaitlynn put on her gorgeous dress in the elegant bridal suite of the Stuart-style mansion, designed by the world-renowned architect David Adler. Katitlynn was stunning in her Simone Carvalli dress purchased at Tulle Bridal in Andover, MA. She discovered Tulle through a close family friend named Cat, a former manager of a bridal salon in New Jersey.  Kaitlynn had tried on the dress very early in her search. She brought her mother -in – law to the bridal boutique to see the dress and when she walked out wearing it, her mother – in- law started to cry. At that moment, Kaitlynn knew this gown was the one. Michael’s amazing three piece, custom tuxedo was handmade by Christopher Cuozzo of Sprezzatura in Woburn, MA.

Michael and Kaitlynn’s first look was on the breathtaking “Grand Allee” which is a wide stretch of rolling, grassy land cascading all the way down to the ocean. The elegant atmosphere of the estate was a perfect venue for this striking pair. Following their ceremony, which was full of humor, elegance, and breath-taking seaside views, the couple took to new heights for a few intimate shots on the Crane Estate rooftop. Delicious food was by Fireside Catering.

Friends and family celebrated with love and enthusiasm. Join me in congratulating this awesome couple!
