Eastern Yacht Club<\/a> in Marblehead a number of summers ago when they were both working as lifeguards. So they have a very special connection to this gorgeous seaside venue.<\/p>\nDirectly after the ceremony, on the beautiful Somoset porch overlooking Marblehead harbor, the family and guests watched as the couple descended to the harbor’s edge for the time-honored tradition of Evening Colors. This is when all the yacht clubs in the area simultaneously fire their cannons at sunset followed by a solemn lowering of the flag. John swung the giant mallet and set off the Eastern Yacht Club cannon. The command, “Carry on” followed; concluding the naval tradition and ushering in the exuberant wedding festivities.<\/p>\n
