Penny and Rick got ready and had their joyous “first look” at the lovely Yankee Clipper Inn just short way down the road located also on the shore of the Atlantic. Then they proceeded to the stage of the Shalin Liu for their ceremony. Just as they were about to be pronounced man and wife, Penny (a fine singer, vocal coach and music director at Endicott College) burst into song. As if this was not enough of a delightful surprise for her groom and guests alike, Penny’s voice was joined one by one, group by group by other exceptional singers in the audience. Gradually, more and more singers added their voices until a “wedding flash mob” was in full swing. What fun, and don’t think there was a dry eye in the house! During their reception this spirited couple performed an elegant first dance to the amazement of their guests. Surely their marriage will be blessed with music and creative surprises. Hearty congratulations, Penny and Rick!!
Check out the photos from my gorgeous and awesome couple, Kelly and Greg! It was such a pleasure to photograph their spirited and beautiful wedding at Saint Elizabeth of Hungary’s Parish in Acton and The Connor’s Center of Boston College. The lower garden at the Connor’s Center was an enchanting, magical and romantic location for photos following the ceremony. Kelly was stunning in her simply elegant bridal gown and full length veil. I had such a fun time photographing these guys! Greg’s fire fighting skills were honored as “firefighter” and bride figurines adored the top of their wedding cake! Special thanks to Paula Marrero and her team from Paula Marrero Events for their vision and attention to detail. Enjoy highlights and join me in congratulating Kelly & Greg!
Cathy and Marc’s elegant and spirited wedding was not only a beautiful celebration, but also an amazing musical feast. Marc, a world class concert pianist, met Cathy, also a fine pianist as well as classical radio host at WGBH, during a live radio broadcast. He came for an interview and left with a chance meeting that would forever enchant their lives.
They chose the charming and historic Lyman Estate in Waltham, MA for their ceremony and reception. Cathy especially loved the warmth of the library where they had their first-look and formal family photos. The “On air” sign, a keepsake of Cathy’s from the former home of WGBH radio where the couple first met, made it into a few fun photos taken in the Lyman Estate dining room.
It was an honor and pleasure to photograph such a talented and gracious couple. May their love of music continue to unite them and bring great joy to their lives.
Please enjoy a selection of highlights from Cathy and Marc’s special day!
What a great couple; so full of love and joy! These two, surrounded by their family and friends, were married in the awe-inspiring St. Joseph’s Basilica in Webster, MA. Following the ceremony, we had a lovely stroll through the historic Elm Street Park in Worcester MA., designed by Olmstead. As it happened, a food truck festival was in the works and we couldn’t resist stopping at a colorful ice cream truck for a cool treat on a hot day. The reception was lively and spirited, full of Polish delicacies and raucous dancing. The amazing Ana Stefanovich of North Shore Weddings by Ana, along with her stellar assistant, Gabrielle, did an incredible job transforming the hall; creating a beautiful and festive atmosphere. Please enjoy the photos and join me in congratulating Anna and Luis!
It is always such a pleasure to photograph at the beautiful and historic Lyman Estate, also known as The Vale, in Waltham, MA. Kristen and Dave were blessed with a perfect spring day for their wedding and reception. They both were filled with anticipation, joy, and humor during their pre-ceremony preparations; including Dave and his groomsmen’s impromptu game of cards and Kristen’s fun jaunt in the greenhouse with her bridesmaids. Their touching outdoor ceremony held a surprise element; literally “tying the knot” with a Celtic cord. Kristen and Dave wanted to see each other for the first time at their ceremony, so we did a romantic stroll afterwards for their first photos as a married couple. Their purple, white, violet, and silver color scheme was an elegant choice which enhanced the beauty of the charming estate. Dramatic evening light provided a gorgeous visual finale to their picture perfect day.
Please enjoy this selection of highlights from Kristen and Dave’s delightful springtime wedding at the Lyman Estate!
