Michele Mottola at Special Events Consulting says:

“It is obvious that David Tucker loves what he does as his pictures always represent the essence of the person who is on the other end of the camera. He is warm, compassionate and so unbelievably talented.   David always scouts out his locations prior and makes many considerations that include LIGHTING,  background, accessibility, timing and ease for guests being photographed all before the event is in full swing. This pro activeness absolutely contributes to the success of any event.  I know my clients are in great hands when they select David Tucker, it is off my list of things to worry about.”

The Peabody Essex Museum in Salem is one of the crown jewels of Boston’s North Shore. I’m extremely honored to be amongst the preferred vendors at this spectacular venue. Here are a few shots from Martha and Dave’s wedding celebration in the Atrium area of the PEM.

One of the pictures however was done close by at the lighthouse at Chandler-Hovey Park in Marblehead.

It was a delight working with Helen to create the photos for her up coming CD “StarStuff”. Originally from Manchester England, she’s here in the States working with a group of extraordinarily talented musicians. This Jazz infusion, or in her words; “trans-stylistic Jazz infected originals” draws from music around the world, as well as the muses deep in her heart. I also love another one of her descriptions of her music: “Story telling clothed in prisms of sound…” Check out her website: and this link for more info.

Caroline’s parent’s support, commitment, and outpouring of generosity for their daughter was impressive and inspiring. It was heartening for me to see Caroline filled with a strong commitment toward high ideals, in fact she seems wiser and more mature than her years. But make no mistake, this family knows how to party and have a great time too!! Seeing her dad dancing with such incredible fire makes me want to get on a work out plan right away!! I was grateful to be their artistic witness on Caroline’s special day. Please enjoy a few of my favorites in this slideshow.

Thanks also to Hopple Popple for doing an amazing job on the coordination and planning.

It was a busy family weekend that included some time at the Wake up the Earth Festival in Jamaica Plain. I have a spot of nostalgia for my old neighborhood in Boston where I lived for many years before heading up to the North Shore. This year, the 31st year of the festival, was the first year they had a wonderful mini circus. I loved the small “haimishe” down home feeling to the whole event. There was also an artist dressed as, and posing as a sculpture of “Rosie the Riveter” from the WW2 era posters. She was absolutely still as a stone for hours, except when someone dropped a donation into her can, and she would robotically move and blow a kiss, and make the motions to secure another rivet, then resume her pose.

I have one shot from the Cambridge Mayfair festival in Harvard Square thrown in the slideshow below as well , I love that this musician hauled his piano out into the street.

Luiz Filho, owner of Luz cosmetics has created a stunning new ad and mailer card featuring photos from Tucker Photography. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Luiz over the years, and I’ve always been so impressed with his work.

He’s a real artist, and great to work with. Here’s the two sides of the mailer, I thought it came out beautifully!! There’s more of my photos on his website as well. Some of the shots on his website are from a fashion shoot we did at the Boston Harbor Hotel, with dresses from Vera Wang. The shots below are from the Crane Estate, Castle Hill. where Tucker Photography is a preferred vendor.
